See and Click here, for Advocacy Groups Instead
In the world of advocacy and justice work, of course there isn’t a constant, bright, solid line between Study Centers/Institutes, etc. (SCITTS) on the subject, and Advocacy Groups. Just as there are SCITTS that naturally cross over into some forms of advocacy (and we have noted those using our icon system above when we see that), so also, there are Advocacy Groups that naturally have study centers, research institutes and think tanks as a part of their programming efforts. But typically such educational institutes are internal and part of their training and equipping programs for those working directly with or in them (that is, their resources are not usually publicly available). In addition, the organizational identity of such groups is primarily that of an “Advocacy Group,” so we chose not to list them here in SCITTS. Instead, click the link above for the Advocacy Groups Index page, so you can explore more about them.
Of course some groups or organizations seem to be about equally situated as educational/ worldview groups (SCITTS) and as true Advocacy Groups (the Christian Institute (UK) and Family Research Council (FRC, US) come to mind, and there are more as the list grows). In these situations, we seek to give such entities full dual-referencing in both the SCITTS and Advocacy Groups pages of our site.
